Overlot grading within Chatfield Lake State Park to raise the elevation of the recreational facilities including the swim beach, marina, day use areas and perimeter road to accommodate additional water storage within the reservoir. Kelley's Scope included approximately 40,000 CY of dredging within the marina area.

The project was located on a 70 acre site at the old Stapleton International Airport. The project consisted of erosion control, importing 750,000 CY of dirt to balance the site, excavating a 150,000 CY stockpile, screening the stockpile for asbestos with asbestos inspectors and asbestos laborers and placing and compacting the stockpile in a fill area, seeding, surveying and quality control.
Howe Pit Reclamation

Performed pit reclamation including site preparation, Zone 1 slope liner fill (186,800 CY), stabilization berm construction (44,620 CY), above grade crest berm construction (8,766 CY), erosion repair (22,000 CY), landslide repair (7,700 CY), removal of excess soils (288,720) and finish grading. Performed excavation, earthwork, riprap, and boulder placement including 12’ X 3’ CBC, concrete channel with spillway and GCL liner system for First Creek Channel. Howe Pit was a complex project with many obstacles that were overcome by the project team. Re-design of slope liner during construction, re-design of several aggregate structures from riprap to boulders, re-design of First Creek Channel works due to unforeseen ground water, re-design of outfall channel due to varying elevations within the existing channel.
Stapleton Filing 7 Stockpile Asbestos Remediation Project

The project was located on a 35 acre site at the old Stapleton International Airport. A stockpile located onsite contained asbestos, and the surface soils surrounding the stockpile were contaminated with asbestos. The general scope of work included excavating a 300,000 CY stockpile, screening the stockpile for asbestos with asbestos inspectors and asbestos laborers (soil characterization), and placing and compacting the stockpile in a fill area, Removing 8,500 CY of Asbestos contaminated soil from the project by loading the soil into trucks, wrapping the soil with plastic in the trucks, and hauling the soil to a landfill, potholing the onsite stockpile to determine the degree of contamination and the size of the asbestos inspection crew needed for the stockpile screening operations, erosion control, seeding, surveying and quality control.

The park project located at the old Stapleton International Airport consisted of erosion control, demolition including airport runway and buried utilities, clearing and grubbing, overlot grading of 130,000 CY of dirt, importing 15,000 CY of dirt to balance the site, realigning 2,500 feet of Westerly Creek, constructing 5 rip rap drop structures and 1 boulder drop structure, and installing a pedestrian bridge.
Tower Landfill Phase 2, Cell 2B, Unit 3

Construction of new landfill cell including excavation of 837,300CY, 615,600SF of subgrade preparation, placement of 341,600CY of engineered fill, 77,700CY of compacted clay liner placement, construction of leachate collection system, including 11,400CY granular drainage layer and 1,860LF of HDPE piping system and temporary leachate sump pumps, placement of protective soil cover and liner termination, and installation of stormwater controls.
North Weld Landfill

We have constructed multiple cells at North Weld Landfill including Phase 3a Module 1 & Phase 3b Module 1. The liner systems included over 1.0 million cubic yards of excavation, over 60,000 cubic yards of clay liner, leachate drainage, sand drainage layer and leachate sump construction.
Sedalia Landfill Cell 6

The project included aggregate pit reclamation & slope liner construction South, Central, and North slope embankment liner projects and backfill under Park Avenue, Lakes 2 and 3. Mann Lakes was a complex project due to the dewatering and multiple embankment sources requiring mixing of soil materials to satisfy embankment specifications.
